West of Broadway, a 501(c)(3) non-profit theater company that has been providing innovative, interactive theatrical experiences for children of all ages in the greater Los Angeles area.

Founded in 2006 by writer/director Diane Namm, West of Broadway has brought over 4000 children into the theater.  To create the interactive theater experience, West of Broadway has adapted and modernized such classics as Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter, and A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.

In addition, "You the Jury"™ Series presents courtroom dramas where the audience serves as the jury and decides the outcome of the play.  This further engages students and promotes civic and social responsibility.  The series includes the shows MONSTER based on the Walter Dean Myers award-winning young adult novel, 12 Angry Jurors based on the Reginald Rose classic and Judgment at Nuremberg an award winning classic by Abby Mann.

West of Broadway also conducts scene-writing workshops with at-risk youth.  Scenes are then performed for them at their facilities by professional actors, bringing a hands-on experience to the writers.
